Philadelphia Zoo
I’m pretty sure I’m about to set a record on this blog for the post with the most photos. I’m also pretty sure I will break the new record when I write the post that’s going up tomorrow. I’ve mentioned before that I like taking photos – albeit in a casual manner and with a waterproof point and shoot which only goes so far – and usually take between a hundred to three hundred per hike or adventure. Well, my sister is a photographer and so between the two of us, we took a thousand pictures on our day trip to Philadelphia. Not counting photos with our phones. So I have a LOT of pictures, many of which are too good not to share since were taken by Tina who has superior talent as well as superior equipment (and a super good zoom lens on one of her cameras). I was still without my camera at this point but Tina lent me one of hers – a point and shoot but one with a zoom lens and some fancy functions that I tried to take advantage of. Thus, all the pictures in this post are better than the ones you’re used to getting and is one of the reasons I had a difficult time whittling them down – that and the sheer number we took. We had our favorites and spent a good amount of our time watching them. The highlight for me I think were the hippos, one of which was using the other one as a pillow (who was submerged)! The river otters, the rhino, and the polar bears were also really favorites as was the tiger.
