Cheticamp Island, Enragee Point Lighthouse, and Scenic Cows
Approaching Cape Breton National Park I passed the beautiful Cheticamp Harbour and immediately detoured to follow a road that crossed the breakwater to Cheticamp Island. The island turned out to be stunning, and has a beautiful red-capped octagonal lighthouse on the point. I followed a dirt road that paralleled the length of the harbor and passed by fields of cows, all of which were really adorable. Walking in the cow fields was a bit dodgy but most were hanging out near the road so I avoided most of the cowpies. The area around Enragee Point Lighthouse was unfortunately fenced in so I wasn’t able to walk out to the end of the point, but the island was really quite beautiful so I couldn’t complain.
