Tom Brown and Phipps Parks, Tallahassee
After spending the past few weeks on the warm beaches and in warm weather in general, I had the urge to do some hiking in forests with cooler weather, so I headed north. I found myself near Tallahassee in late afternoon and decided to stop for a walk, some stretching, and a bit of yoga at Tom Brown Park.
The next morning I decided to do the 6.1-mile Phipps Park Loop near Lake Jackson, north of Tallahassee. An easy hike with negligible elevation change, the Phipps Park Loop nonetheless interested me because of its path through hardwood and sweetgum forest, wetland, damp fern-carpeted sections, lagoon, and more. It was also my first exposure to sweetgum swamp, which I loved.
Maverlous composition with the photos. As always reading this is a delight. Thanks for your time to share while on your adventure.
